The active ingredient in all EcoBlend products, including the Adjuvant, is Organic Soybean Oil. Soybean oils used are from crops that are organic or GMO-free and all natural.

EcoBlend stays on the surface of the area to which it is applied. It is biodegradable and does not persist in the soil. EcoBlend breaks down into beneficial organic matter as a fertilizer and a food source for microorganisms, and is therefore beneficial to the ecosystem.

Biodegradability of Vegetable Oils

This article supports the position that vegetable oils are highly biodegradable.

Soil Nutrients & Soil Microbes

This study shows evidence that fatty acid content in soil correlates with an abundance of soil microbes including mycorrhizal fungi, other fungi, and bacteria. It also has an effect on Nitrogen, Phosphorous, and Potassium levels.

Effects of Biodiesel on Soils

This abstract shows that biodiesel has good solvent properties but low toxicity. Additionally, it has the ability to remove carcinogens from the soil and removes soil pollutants.

Biodegradability of Biodiesel

The first study below concludes that biodiesel is “readily biodegradable” and has a high biodegration rate in the aquatic environment.

The following study shows that with microbial degradation of biodiesel, the final products are water, carbon dioxide and biomass. Additionally, the break down of vegetable oils was a food source for earthworms, causing an increase in weight.
